I saw this article recently, and really thought it was quite amazing!

Riding the Tour De Vegetable: David Zabriskie Plans to Race in France on (Almost) Vegan Diet – WSJ.com.

Now, I know there are a surprising number of famous, and highly successful, vegan athletes. But, as far as I know – and I’m no sports historian – there have been very few, if any, cyclists that are or were vegan. To race the hardest cycling event in the world on a ‘limited’ diet is quite a feat!

I’m excited to find out how he does in the end – hopefully he will be living proof yet again that vegan eating can give you the strength and energy needed to compete at an elite level.

Go David Zabriskie!
